Arriving Missionaries March 2018

Welcome to the California Ventura Mission!
Elder Tu'ifua and Elder Rentas Ramirez arrive at the Santa Barbara Airport with Pres Nakken and our assistants, Elder Robins and Elder Tanuvas

After an orientation from Elder Tanuvasa and Elder Robins, we had dinner with our new missionaries, the Ventura Zone leaders, (Elder McLawhorn and Elder Pickett) and the Spanish training leaders.(Elder Seui and Elder Hiltlscher) Afterwards, Elder Tu'ifua went with the Zone Leaders and Elder Rentas Ramirez went with the Spanish Training leaders for their first real missionary experience! They all returned the next morning and had breakfast and presentations from Sister Ashby, Sister Mackay, Elder Andrus and Elder Ashby.
Because of a Flash Flood warning in Santa Barbara, it was decided to cancel our mission transfer until tomorrow. So, after lunch, Elder Tu'ifua and Elder Rentas Ramirez went back out with the missionaries for the rest of the day. On wednesday, they were finally able to meet their new companions and find out where they would be serving. We feel so fortunate to have such wonderful, humble, eager, kind young men joining us here in our mission. We look forward to getting to know them and already feel so much love for them. We  know that they will be a great asset to our mission!
