Everyone will agree that this General Conference will never be forgotten! Participating in the Solemn Assembly when we sustained President Russel M Nelson as our prophet was historic! I loved Elder Steven's words when he said, "we can rejoice- even shout,"Hosanna!"- that the Lord's mouthpiece, a prophet of God, is in place and that the Lord is pleased that His work is being done in the way that He has divinely prescribed."
Other changes, like merging the priesthood quorums, implementing ministry visits instead of Home and Visiting Teaching, the announcement of 7 new temples, the call of two new apostles, Elder Gong and Elder Soares, gave all of us a feel that God really is hastening His work and we are witness of it! It gives us hope for the future knowing that whatever changes come will be the will of God. It is His work and we feel so privileged to be a small part of it!
We had the Ventura Zone over for lunch on Saturday, and then invited them to stay and watch the afternoon session with us. We love these missionaries!
