The Serra Cross at Grant Park was a mark for the San Buenaventura mission. The entire area was burned during the Thomas Fire in Dec of 2017. It has taken over a year to re build the area and we were so excited to be able to take our new missionaries up there for their first view of our mission! I  love the symbol of the cross. To me it represents people of faith who are trying to follow the Savior. I realize that our knowledge of Jesus Christ is very different from most "Christians"- but that is our purpose, to help others come unto Christ: To teach them not only that He exists, but what His characteristics and attributes are! We are so thankful for each of these missionaries who are willing to share this knowledge with the people here!
